1. Purpose
This Code of Ethics sets out the standards of professional conduct and integrity expected from all employees, contractors, trainers, assessors, and learners associated with Vigilant Knights Ltd.
The purpose of this code is to ensure that all training, assessment, and business activities are carried out with honesty, professionalism, and respect, in accordance with UK law, Security Industry Authority (SIA) standards, and awarding body regulations.

3. Professional Conduct
3.1. All staff and learners must behave in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner at all times.
3.2. Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
3.3. Staff and learners must act in a way that promotes trust, confidence, and the reputation of both the security industry and Vigilant Knights Ltd.
3.4. Use of foul language, aggression, or disruptive behaviour is strictly prohibited.
3.5. All individuals must be punctual, prepared, and appropriately dressed for training activities.
4. Honesty and Integrity
4.1. Trainers and assessors must deliver training and assessments fairly and without bias.
4.2. Learners must complete their own work honestly and without cheating or plagiarism.
4.3. Falsifying results, certificates, or documents will result in disciplinary action and may be reported to awarding bodies or the SIA.
4.4. No staff member or learner may accept or offer bribes, favours, or any inducement intended to influence results, decisions, or outcomes.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
5.1. All personal and confidential information must be handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
5.2. Staff must not disclose learner information to any unauthorised person.
5.3. Learners must also respect the privacy of their peers and the confidentiality of classroom discussions and materials.
6. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
6.1. Vigilant Knights Ltd promotes an inclusive environment where everyone is treated equally and fairly.
6.2. Discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
6.3. All staff and learners share responsibility for ensuring that equality and diversity are upheld within the training environment.
7. Health, Safety, and Welfare
7.1. Everyone has a duty to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
7.2. All staff and learners must follow the company’s health and safety procedures and report any accidents, hazards, or unsafe practices immediately.
7.3. The use or possession of alcohol, illegal drugs, or offensive weapons on company premises or during training activities is strictly forbidden.
7.4. Anyone deemed unfit for training due to alcohol or drug use will be removed from the course without refund.
8. Safeguarding
8.1. Vigilant Knights Ltd is committed to protecting the welfare of all learners, particularly those who may be vulnerable.
8.2. All staff must complete safeguarding training and follow the company’s Safeguarding Policy.
8.3. Any concerns about the wellbeing or safety of a learner or colleague must be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Officer.
9. Conflict of Interest
9.1. All employees and assessors must avoid situations where their personal interests, conflict, or could appear to conflict, with their professional responsibilities.
9.2. Any potential conflict must be declared to management immediately.
9.3. Learners must not attempt to influence results or outcomes through personal relationships or incentives.

10.1. Vigilant Knights Ltd strives to deliver the highest quality training and assessment.
10.2. Staff must actively participate in professional development and maintain current knowledge of security industry standards.
10.3. Feedback from learners, awarding bodies, and partners is welcomed to support ongoing improvement.
11. Reporting Ethical Concerns
11.1. All staff and learners have a responsibility to report unethical, dishonest, or unsafe behaviour.
11.2. Concerns should be raised confidentially with management or through the company’s Whistleblowing Procedure.
11.3. Vigilant Knights Ltd guarantees that no one will suffer retaliation or disadvantage for raising a concern in good faith.
12. Breaches of the Code
12.1. Breaches of this Code of Ethics will be taken seriously and may result in disciplinary action, suspension, dismissal, or removal from training.
12.2. In cases involving criminal or regulatory breaches, the matter may be referred to relevant authorities or awarding bodies.
13. Review
This Code of Ethics will be reviewed annually, or sooner if required by changes in law or regulation, to ensure it remains current and effective.
