Training Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in any training course, workshop, or programme (“Course”) provided by Vigilant Knights Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number [Insert Number], with registered office at - Swiss House, Beckingham Street, Tolleshunt Major, Maldon, CM9 8LZ, England. By booking or attending a Course, you (“you”, “the learner”, or “the client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Course Booking and Payment
2.1. Bookings may be made online, by email, telephone, or in person. A booking is not confirmed until full payment or an agreed deposit has been received.
2.2. Payment must be made in full prior to the Course start date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.3. All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and are subject to change without notice; however, prices confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured.
2.4. Vigilant Knights Ltd reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking at its discretion.
3. Cancellations, Refunds, and Transfers
3.1. Learner Cancellations:
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the Course start date will receive a full refund (minus an administrative fee of £25.00).
- Cancellations made 7–14 days before the Course start date will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the Course start date are non-refundable.
3.2. Course Transfers:
- Transfers to a different course date may be permitted once, subject to availability and an administration fee of £25.00.
3.3. Provider Cancellations:
- If Vigilant Knights Ltd cancels or postpones a Course, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
- Vigilant Knights Ltd will not be liable for any consequential losses, including travel, accommodation, or loss of earnings.
4. Attendance and Conduct
4.1. Learners must attend all sessions and meet attendance and assessment requirements set by Vigilant Knights Ltd and the awarding body.
4.2. Late arrivals or absences may result in disqualification from assessment and forfeiture of fees.
4.3. Learners must conduct themselves professionally, respectfully, and safely at all times. Disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour may result in immediate removal from the Course without refund.
4.4. Learners must bring valid photo ID (e.g. passport or driving licence) and any required documentation (e.g. proof of address) on the first day of training.
4.5. Students will receive joining instructions via email to the email address provided on the booking form.
4.6 It is the responsibility of the individual completing the course registration/booking form to ensure joining instructions are received by the student. Instructions will be sent via email to the email address provided on the booking form.
5. Entry Requirements
5.1. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the entry criteria for the Course, including age, English language proficiency, and right to work in the UK where applicable.
5.2. Where applicable (e.g. SIA-linked qualifications), learners must meet Security Industry Authority (SIA) eligibility requirements. Vigilant Knights Ltd accepts no responsibility if a learner is later found to be ineligible for an SIA licence.
5.3 All students must complete a fit to attend prior to all courses reflecting their medical history.
6. Certification
6.1. Certificates are issued upon successful completion of the Course and payment of all fees in full.
6.2. Vigilant Knights Ltd cannot guarantee that you will pass any assessment or examination.
6.3. Certificates are typically issued within 2 weeks of completion. Delays caused by awarding bodies or external factors are outside our control.
7. Liability
7.1. Vigilant Knights Ltd accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal property brought onto our premises.
7.2. Except as required by law, our liability for any claim arising from attendance or participation in a Course shall not exceed the total amount paid for that Course.
7.3. Vigilant Knights Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses (including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation, or employment losses).
8. Health and Safety
8.1. All learners must comply with Vigilant Knights Ltd’s health and safety policies and instructions.
8.2. Any learner found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance impairing performance will be refused participation and asked to leave the premises without refund.
8.3. Learners must report any injuries, illnesses, or incidents immediately to the course instructor.
9. Data Protection and Privacy
9.1. Vigilant Knights Ltd processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)and the Data Protection Act 2018.
9.2. Learner information may be shared with awarding organisations, regulatory authorities, and the Security Industry Authority (SIA) solely for the purposes of qualification and compliance.

10. Intellectual Property
10.1. All training materials, resources, and content provided by Vigilant Knights Ltd are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
10.2. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any materials without prior written consent from Vigilant Knights Ltd.
11. Force Majeure
Vigilant Knights Ltd is not liable for delays, cancellations, or non-performance arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, pandemics, or government-imposed restrictions.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
